Here you can walk in the footsteps of Scotland's National Bard, Robert Burns, who spent arguably his most creative and productive period as a writer, close to the village. The village is well-known as the home of "Rabbie" Burns, who lived and farmed in the area with his wife Jean Armour for many years. The house they shared is now a museum and forms part of the famous Ayrshire Burns Trail.
